A tale of love, friendship, obsession and gardening.
Vernon wants to grow the world’s biggest gooseberry. Seven years ago his one-time best friend Barry poisoned his gooseberry bushes on the eve of competition. Or did he? This time, Vernon is determined to win at all costs, but his obsession is such that he fails to notice his wife Daphne’s growing dissatisfaction. With this year’s competition only days away, will Vernon choose his gooseberries or his marriage? And has he left it too late?
